Here is quick Athlete Compensation Timeline of the key events that opened the door to the new economic model of college athletics.
Contrary to media reports, the House Settlement includes $2.8 billion in Back Pay AND, more importantly, a 22% revenue share for college athletes going forward. That translates to over $20 billion paid directly to athletes over the next decade.
When you include the existing revenue streams of Real NIL (Brands/Sponsors) and Collective NIL. Athlete Compensation could rise to over $32 billion over the next decade.
