Breaking News: NCAA Proposal to allow direct compensation from schools to college athletes

This morning NCAA President Charlie Baker sent a letter to Division 1 schools outlining a framework for: 1) athletes to receive direct compensation (into a trust fund) from their schools into and 2) athletes to license their NIL rights to their colleges in exchange for direct compensation. While the details need to be worked out, under this proposal college athletes would finally be able to receive compensation directly from their schools.
